ILLUSTRATOR FILES: Include all fonts and graphics/pictures used in the Illustrator document. This can be done by going to the Window menu: select "show links". This command allows you to check to see if your links are updated or embedded in the document. You may convert your type to outlines to avoid including fonts. IMPORTANT: Check the colors in the graphics created to be sure of the "CMYK" or "SPOT" color designation.
QUARK XPRESS FILES: Include all fonts and graphics/pictures used in the Quark document. This can be done by going to the File menu: select "collect for output" in the drop down menu. This command saves your document and links to one folder that may be sent to your print provider.
PAGEMAKER FILES: Include all fonts and graphics/pictures used in the Pagemaker document. This can be done by going to the File menu: select "links manager". This command allows you to check to see if your links are updated or embedded in the document. Please remove unused art from the Pagemaker pasteboard before sending your file.
PHOTOSHOP FILES: Include all fonts used in the Photoshop document if fonts are used. You may flatten your document to avoid including fonts. An image resolution of 300 DPI is a must! TIP: Check the document for color mode used. This can be done by going to the Image menu: select "mode". Any mode other than CMYK or GRAY is converted by the printer.
MICROSOFT PUBLISHER and MICROSOFT WORD FILES: When possible, print or export the document as a PDF File using Adobe Acrobat Distiller. Check the file and send the original plus the PDF file to your print provider. Include the fonts on CD used in the original document and always provide a hard copy. You can fax a hard copy to 724-836-6126.
